Imaging Study Reveals Hidden Epileptic Activity in autism.

Disclaimer: This article claims that the children had no "active epilepsy" meaning they are not currently having seizures. However it does not seem to take into account that rage, panic, staring spells, etc ARE seizure activity.

  1. Autism and asbergers are mislabeled as diagnoses. They are all SYMPTOMS of Temporal Lobe Epilepsy:

This is a checklist of the symptoms of TLE: http://poppetree.blogspot.com/2010/01/temporal-lobe-epilepsy.html. For a diagnosis you need a minimum of ten symptoms

  2. Do you have any evidence for this? The article only shows correlation, and yet you seem to be using this as suport for the claim that ASD is not a valid diagnosis.

If 10 symptoms are required for diagnosis, then what is your assumed cause for people who have Asperger's and 0 symptoms for TLE?

  3. The root cause, what ever it is called, is damage to the temporal lobe. the problem is that it is rarely looked at with the proper testing (PT and Spect scans) and those with the incorrect diagnosis of autism, aspergers, depression, etc are not being helped.

"Aspergers" "symptoms" ARE TLE. Refer to the checklist for these.
