Grover's Mill, West Windsor, NJ



This is the old Grover's Mill in West Windsor, NJ. I am more interested in the mill, which you can see the workings of in the picture in the middle, above. But this is also the site of the War of the World's landing, in the infamous broadcast by Orson Welles. More info. is in these three sites listed below:

The actual mill, this blue building is now privately owned and contains a chiropractor's office. It is a shame that the township has not done more to fix up this building, it is very run down. The mill, in my opinion, is far more valuable than its connection to the War of the Worlds.

The mill pond is called Van Nest Lake. It goes under the roadway and turns into a stream as you continue northwest on Cranbury Road (the road in these photos below) in West Windsor.
